Diggin Holes

In what was our last full work day, our team began the day with lots of digging. With the time we had left post-bridge, we were asked to help dig up a damaged power line and run it across the bridge to connect the new property back to power. The work we did today mostly temporary though, as some of the wire will be moved once Trigo installs an administrative building next to the classrooms our bridge was connecting to.

While it wasn't what we planned to do with our trip, it was nice to do something else that could serve Trigo. While our team worked on that, Sara had the opportunity to help in some of the classrooms during the day. In the morning, she got to help teach the 1st graders about the water cycle!

Our cable project kept us busy most of the time, but we finished what could be done early with about two hours to spare in the afternoon. Our team filled the time by trading riddles and puzzles until dinner. Tomorrow we'll start the day later, clean up our work site, then spend sometime downtown in Oaxaca city to close out our trip.

Here are some ways to pray for us:

  1. Pray for time to reflect on the trip as we head back home in the coming days

  2. Pray for our last full day with the team from Trigo tomorrow

  3. Pray for safety and health as we prepare to go home

Here are some areas of thanksgiving:

  1. Our trip has given us time to serve Trigo more than we planned to

  2. Those team members who were feeling sick are getting better

  3. As the trip comes to a close, we're thankful that God has been moving in and through our team

Per our team's request: here's a riddle for you -

Hi everyone! The next blog will be once we arrive in the US, to give us time to pack and wrap up. Pray for safe travels, and look forward to updates and reflections on the end of our trip.
