A Completed Bridge

Today we got to work on preparing for our afternoon pour. There wasn't much left to do, but the work we did have left brought us right up to 2 p.m., when our concrete team arrived. The work went well, with a few pauses for some problem solving, and we were able to take a late lunch as the concrete team set up.

By the end of the day, the concrete was poured and our bridge was completed! It was a great feeling seeing the whole bridge together. We're not finished just yet, we'll have to check on the bridge as it dries and do some final touches, but the hardest part is behind us.

Tomorrow, we look forward to sleeping in a bit and being picked up by the Trigo team a little later than usual. What the rest of the day holds isn't exactly clear, but if everything looks good on the bridge tomorrow, we will be able to look for other ways to serve Trigo with our remaining time.

Here are some ways to pray for us:

  1. One of our team members was really not feeling well today, so pray for their health

  2. Pray for the rest of our time here, that we will be able to use it wisely

  3. Pray for the bridge as the concrete cures, and that everything will finish well

Here are some areas of thanksgiving:

  1. The bridge is finished!

  2. Our local help has been a major factor in our success, so thank God for them.

  3. We're thankful for the Trigo y Miel family and their constant hospitality.

Hi everyone! The next blog will be once we arrive in the US, to give us time to pack and wrap up. Pray for safe travels, and look forward to updates and reflections on the end of our trip.
